A planning application has been submitted to convert a currently vacant industrial building in Rochdale into a restoration business.
The request, submitted by Mr. Talib of Tweedale Street to Rochdale Borough Council, concerns 9 to 5 Ann Street.
The app would turn the vacant unit into an offsite dining venue for weddings and receptions, and include a back extension.
An extraction system will also be installed.
A planning statement said, “The use of the building will be to produce catering services for medium to large receptions, be they birthday parties or small weddings.
“All food will be prepared on site to be transported in a van to the site of the function to do or half make / cook / create and deliver on site to heat and keep the heat.
“Customers will not be able to visit the premises for pickup or order as the service would be delivery only and all orders will be taken online only.
“Working hours must be between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday to Sunday, including public holidays.
“It is expected that the company will seek to operate throughout the working day only and meet various peak demands for in-house delivery only.
“The ventilation and exhaust system will not operate outside of the agreed opening hours.”
The request, submitted on Monday April 26, will be decided by the Rochdale borough council at the beginning of June.
