We are a team of over 500 people, providing fresh and diverse catering across Durham University. This includes university dining halls, university bars, university cafes, tourist attractions and branded dining outlets.

Members of the catering team are responsible for providing a professional, responsive and efficient catering service to students, staff and visitors, ensuring that catering areas are presented, served, restocked and cleaned to a standard exceptional and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Working methods:

All roles are 5 days a week. Successful candidates will be required to work some evenings and weekends.

Working on the catering team requires an element of physical manual handling, which may include lifting and carrying catering equipment.

The incumbent will be required to work flexibly across all areas of catering.

University Catering is looking to recruit Retail Catering and Café Assistants into highly rewarding and demanding roles.
