… As commercial private jet services start in January
McDan Commercial Private Jet Services, which is slated to enter service in January next year, will provide jobs to more than 400 Ghanaians.
The company will launch commercial private jet services with 3 Jest and a helicopter, while arrangements will be made for the addition of Bombardier, Chaligerer, BV Jet and helicopters to provide medical and domestic tourism by air ambulance.
According to McDan Group of Companies CEO Daniel McKorley, he said Ghana is opening up to the world hence the need to set another standard in business where business men and women have the opportunity to doing business with ease as far as travel is concerned.
He noted that the private jet business is a fixed base operation (FBO) where anyone who can afford it can enter, apply for flight, pay and all other services from the place of residence to their destination and return are taken care of. by the Company.
“Any private jet arriving in Ghana must go through this terminal,” he said.
McDan also mentioned that the flights have the capacity to travel anywhere in the world, adding that safety is fully ensured with the SOP arrangements completed and the Ghana Airport Company and the Aviation Authority completing the work in terms of safety.
McDan Aviation owned by CEO of the McDan group of companies, Mr. Daniel McKorley, acquired Terminal 1 of the airport through a lease for the private jet business.
It was licensed to begin operations in 2019 as Ghana’s first Fixed Base Operator (FBO). According to the FBO, McDan Aviation now provides all ground handling services at KIA T1.
This includes general aviation operations, aircraft maintenance operations, aircraft airframe and engine repairs (maintenance), and aircraft rental.
The property has a VIP lounge, crew lounge and flight planning office, as well as conference rooms and a hangar.
Passengers and crew can complete customs and immigration procedures in the same building, which also has a restaurant that can provide in-flight catering.
