Celebrating Florida’s diverse agriculture, Swank Specialty Produce kicked off their bountiful Farmer’s Market on Saturday, October 2. Farmhouse, with live music by Mitch Herrick and fantastic produce from 25 local vendors. Customers can shop outside under Swank Farm’s 8,500 square foot open-air barn and enjoy free, convenient parking.
Stop to refuel for the week, nibble on a breakfast sandwich from Uprooted Catering or a barbecue from Tropical Smokehouse, or enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry.
Swank Farms also revealed the schedule for the upcoming Swank Table series with 12 events that will kick off on December 12 with an Argentinian Gauchos Asados BBQ. There are several new events this year including a tribute to Anthony Bourdain, a Venetian masquerade, a CBD dinner, and celebrations of Caribbean culture and street food.
Each Swank Table event brings together the region’s best chefs, mixologists and brewers for an unforgettable multi-course dinner to benefit a local charity. After enjoying a welcome bite and cocktails from Sweetwater, guests are invited to join a tour of the hydroponics houses run by Darrin Swank, or simply take a stroll through the fields to see a real farm in action before taking in place in the pole barn.
Live music from South Florida’s favorite musicians fills the space for a memorable evening where guests leave feeling like family. All-inclusive, all-local dinners incorporate produce from partner farms and vendors, craft beers, wine pairings, cocktails, and of course, plenty of delicious fresh-picked vegetables and herbs from Swank Farm. Returning this year, the talented Chef Emerson Frisbie as the Farm Liaison Leader.
For guests looking for a more intimate experience, the Swanks open their home for a series of Swank cooking shows with fun and tasty cooking demonstrations from Chef Dean James Max, followed by a three-course meal.
