Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) was voted 3rd place for the best airline cabin crew in the world and 4th place for the best airport services in the world at the announcement of the Skytrax 2021 World Airline Awards which took place recently held in London, UK. The awards reflect THAI’s world-class standard of service and quality. THAI has also achieved a number of accolades in the Skytrax World Ranking in the following categories: 5th Best Airline Staff in Asia, which rewards the combined service of airline staff both in the airport and the experience on board; 6th in the best economy class in the world; and 9th in the best airline catering in economy class.
The accomplishment, particularly during this difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic, suggested a strong commitment and dedication from THAI employees who have worked tirelessly to provide all possible support in the delivery of their services while maximizing the level of service quality. THAI is committed to providing flight services with the highest level of safety and convenience. All employees are constantly striving to improve in-flight services to ensure a smooth journey and a pleasant flight experience for all customers.
The World Airline Awards are the results of the Skytrax survey which was first launched in 1999 as the first annual global airline customer satisfaction survey, which is 100% independent, impartial and global. The survey aimed to gain customer satisfaction, opinion and experiences with the airline’s products and services in all aspects such as check-in process, seating comfort, cabin interior, food and beverages, cabin crew or inflight services. This year’s Skytrax customer survey was conducted from September 2019 to July 2021. From 2020 to 2021, the airline industry was severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Demand for travel has declined significantly due to country lockdowns and strict travel restrictions. The 2021 prices represent both more normal travel times and some travel during the global pandemic.
